Knight Rider I am not sure why you cant keep your story straight but in post #29 you said the company you went back to bought you a truck outright along with 9 others and your payments for everything wad 1000 a month. You also said you get 90% and wrre doing very well.

In post 45 you say your biuying a truck from melton 2010 under 400 k for 56 k. You also said it should be ready mid april. Also SNI is wanting you back with a 7500 sign on bonus.

If you get 90% where you are why leave?
    What happened to other truck?

Which post is the correct post?

He also had a air line break three times and called road service to fix it each time idk but after the second time i would of been like okay something is causing this air line to break or melt lol and was also preaching how to make sure you go over the truck inside and out before you take possession and still took truck with water in the oil idk but when i found that i would of ran fast from that truck.

I can see why you love it. With your husband on the road as a Schneider contractor, and you one of their load board specialists, that has to be advantageous. Did he purchase his own truck or lease through SFI?

Im currently on SNIs legacy program instead of choice. Ive been doing a lot of homework on switching to choice. Many people are successful at manipulating the freight to their advantage, others not so much. The L/P or O/O on the choice board that I have seen to be very unsuccessful are the ones that dont understand running a freight lane or triangulating freight lanes to optimize their gross revenue for TOTAL miles(not just loaded). Others that ive seen unsuccessful are ones that do not have a laptop/tablet and/or a mifi/wifi connection, it is imperative for the choice program to have access to the freight board 24/7 365. Out of all the good things and bad things ive read so far on this post, it is good info. Personally cal I think SNIs choice program would be an excellent board for you to start with on the I/c side of things. Personally I think more people should be giving you advice on how to succed vs. How to run/make$(though that it is all part of the game). My personal advice would be to set goals for yourself as a new businesses owner(because that is what it is), like for example you buy a used truck and you want it to be paid off within the first year of operation. This is an excellent goal to have and never settle for less of your goals in your business, or it WILL fail.

Starting a business without a business plan, is a business designed to fail. Having business goals will help and is a key asset to planning your business. Your business plan should never end but only continue to grow into making your business as successful as it can be and you want it to be, but it should never end there. There is always a way to make something that is good better. In getting a truck through SFI start simple with your business plans, and progress. what truck to buy/lease is the first step, most times choice in buying a truck is a personal preference, make sure that homework is done to investigate what is the best option. Engine, transmission, APU, these are all things thay a variables to a truck. Currently, the market on engines that are cal clean idle and carb compliant and can run the 48, cummins isx is the leader in fuel economy and reliability, next best is detroit's dd15. Next a transmission many different options to choose from but most common is a straight 10 for Detroit and a 13 speed for cummins. Picking a truck that is going to return as much of your gross revenue as possible is the first and probably most important step.

If you want any personal advice on starting your business or making a business plan just mesg me.

We did the Lease / Purchase through Schneider Finance. They offer a lot of advantages. SFI takes their money out of your settlement last, so if for some reason you don't make enough that week to cover it (say emergency time off...etc.), they have different ways to work with you on that payment(s).....try getting that anywhere else! Plus, I call myself a "load board specialist" not because I am employed by Schneider (because I'm not, my hubby signed the lease) but because I made it my job to specialize in learning the ins and outs of that load board, how to dispatch his freight ...etc. We do make a kick _ _ _ team!!!
