Usually teams are paired up by the 2 drivers expressing interest in teaming together. Sometimes mentioning to your dispatcher you are considering driving team he/she will be able to pair you up with someone else that is interested. Be sure you let your dispatcher know what things you are looking for in a potential driving partner. Such as male/female, smoker/non-smoker, be sure the other person lives close to your home too so you can both schedule time off at the same time. Ideally you will find a person that prefers to drive opposite what you prefer. For example I like daytime driving and if I were looking to pair up I would want a driver that preferred night driving. Other things to consider would be what type of music does the other person prefer and what types of foods they prefer. There are so many variables you must really have a firm understanding and grasp of your likes and dislikes. Then be sure you can tolerate someone else being in "your space" 24/7.

Most opposite sex teams are a couple. Husband-Wife, Engaged, long time girl/boy firends, etc. I have not heard to many stories of opposite sex teams that are not romantically entangled :biggrin_255:. Think about it, if you were a women trucker (especially if you are just starting your career) would you want to be randomly told to go live with some guy in a walk-in closet. Heck, my wife would not even consider training with a male trainer unless I was there and I dont blame her a bit. Times are a little crazy out there. The only exception I could imagine would be long..long time friends who knew they could live together without problems, but you would have to sell it to your company I'm sure.
