Im a recent PSD student who got off out the truck due to a conflict with an instructor. I was told by my FM that I was being dropped from the PSD program but could reapply 3 months later. What are my chances of being taken back when I reapply?
Question for the group.

Im just going out on a limb here, but as long as you didnt beat the instructor with a rubber mallet like the Falcon driver did a few years back, then I would surmise your chances to be good, considering Prime always seems to be lookin for drivers. good luck
-
proly ur chances are bad they got u filed as a non cooperative person, usually a company will asign u different inst but in ur case u were let go that cant be good
-
They were only gonna assign me another instructor once I got back into Missouri to take my road test. Rather then remedy the issue the problem right then and there. I got off the truck at the terminal in Pittston. So now it's really a wait and see thing now.

Call 'em up and get back into the program.

Even though they told me reapply in January

If you don't mind my asking, why did you leave your instructor's truck? Was it due to dangerous situations, or just a personality conflict between yourself and your instructor?
-
personality conflict is the summed up version of it
-
OK, that may cause you some problems. If it had been a safety issue, nobody with a lick of common sense wouldn't blame you for getting off the truck as quick as you could.
However, a personality conflict is not sufficient reason to jump truck. Plenty of people are gonna piss you off as a trucker. The way the company could view it as you're gonna split the first time you have an argument with dispatch, shipper, reciever, DOT, and so on.
Sorry Engine325, ya should've stayed on the truck until released by the company. You as a student are far to easy to replace for a big outfit to deal with any percieved attitude problem on your part. Not saying you have an attitude, just pointing out how the company could view the situation... -
He's already been told to try back again in January, and it appears his old FM is okay with this. We'll see.
