I was p/d then line haul ,then back to p/d, then back to l/h , then back to p/d. We rebid soon....you guessed it. back to l/h. As for the sleep I need about a week, then I'm pretty good to go. But I assure you there are far too many candles on my birthday cake to do the p/d gig anymore.

upnorthwpg and Big Don Thank this.

I'm glad we don't do the 'rebid" thing at my outfit. That only happens when a spot opens up.

If I don't land a l/h gig, I have a few bids available to keep my butt off the p/d grid.......we have 50 employees and 52 spots too fill....things are looking up!!

Interesting point of view. We bid at our barn twice a year and I look forward to the change because it mixes it up a bit.

I'm starting the process of moving into linehaul, gathering info, etc so any guys here who work linehaul, please feel free to post positives/negatives of your company, and all the usual data that's important ($, hometime, equipment, routes, hours, benefits). Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out...

It would help to know where you are located, and what outfits you are interested in!

I live in St. Louis, MO and am open to any and all. I worked 12's as an overnight shuttle/spotter so the nights aren't a deal breaker. I know a guy at Estes but no one at any of the others

    Big Don Thanks this.

You don't really need to have an "in" to get hired. What you do have to have, is the experience AND THE GOOD LUCK TO BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME! Shoot, you might not even need the experience, but the luck and the timing is a key!
