Ok I'll go get the step stole so you can reach it...:biggrin_25522:

Dang man really, your only a few miles away and I could really use some more straps. That way I can throw my chains away!:yes2557:

Did you put cement shoes on him so the drill wouldn't spin him around?:biggrin_2559:

    Priceless!

I'm sure you could but if any part of the strap is in direct contact with any part of the metal body of the car...It's a violation.

If you hauled them all the time I'm sure you had your system...The reason I won't touch them is because they pay pretty bad and they're hell on equipment.
It's just not worth the possible tire damage from the scrap yards and the oil and crap all over your trailer to haul crappy paying freight.

I'll deadhead out before I'll haul that ####!

FROM albuquerque to colorado springs. 375 miles. $875.

    that's not bad pay.

and you're kidding yourself if you think straps are actually rubber bands.

rainny season isn't far. next time it happens i'll take pics. cuz i doooo not lie.

we all know those things get loose when wet. so you tighten down. and tighten down. and tighten down. for 600 miles till the rain stops and they start drying out.

    For junk cars?

    Good....You can have that crap.

    It's passable...at best.

    Who said that?

I don't think you are lying.....I just don't think you know what you're talking about!

Uhhhhh.....You seem to be the ONLY one that thinks this.

I've never had to tighten them more than once or twice in 2,000 miles rain or shine.
I've never had to tighten them down because they stretched...I have had to tighten them because the load settled and that's usually once in a trip or maybe twice if it settles a lot.

Midget flatbedders? Man, I'd want to see a pic of that! Although...it does explain that big black KW 900 I saw running through town the other day with the big azzed ladder hanging off the headache rack. BW900, I didn't know you were running through NW PA this week! If'n you woulda stopped, I'da bought you a cup'a coffee! A small, of course. But for a midget, that woulda been more like a medium large, right?:biggrin_2559:

I have quite a few friends in Nashville...There were a LOT of things that I never got around to seeing.

    But there's always next time.

if you haul coils put a chain and block in front of it. criss cross at least 2 chain trough the eye flush with the front of the coil then horse shoe 1 on each side. then put 3 straps over the top. you will never lose a coil. the chain and block in front should be tight. block should be tall enough to reach the eye of the coil to prevent the coil from telescoping.
