Thanks you helped prove another point about doing it all from the ground...lol.

I'd love to see you try and tighten your binder down from the ground on my trailer. You'll need to grow up a few more inches...LOL.

Never needed a half link on a strap......:biggrin_2554: That was always the biggest problem I had with winch straps. But then again I only use them on stuff that don't really have much give to it.

Hopefully you, actually your family never suffers like that Maverick Driver I seen years ago and this guy just a week ago. Yeah Yeah I know, you know what your doing and it won't happen to you, right.... Bet that's what they said too!

I have only been flatbedding for a few months. Speed! Speed kills. I don't care how well we chain it, strap it, the laws of nature, force or tripled with speed. Slow down and arrive alive. Yes I realize that there will always be the deer, hog, bear or a stupid four wheeler that will jump in front of us, it is going to happen. So slow down.

But dang it I gotta go!!!!!:biggrin_2559:

Heck I slide a coil backwards last night. I was in such a hurry I jumped on the gas pedal to hard.... Heck I figured those 8 straps should've held a 48k single, guess not. Oh well I just got more straps out. It is so much easier using them, I don't have to get on my trailer. I can just throw them over the coil and them mosey on over to the other side, hook em up, then mosey back to where I started and tighten down.

I really hate when they get twisted though. I end up spending a few minutes flailing the strap around trying to straighten it out. For the life of me I can't figure out why people get so upset with me....?

So how slow should I drive? Should I also wear a helmet?:biggrin_25526:

Speed doesn't kill, stupid people do!

You must have been a trainer because there's no shortage of guys that do this.:biggrin_2559:

"I have all day so everyone waiting to load at this door is going to have to wait on me!" I love watching the guys work harder trying not to work. Chaining a coil from the ground is a perfect example, make 15 trips around the trailer because they're too lazy to climb. Where's Darwin when you need him!:biggrin_2559:

Reminds me of the Western Express driver last night. He checked in a 5:15 and left at 11:30. He was actually loaded just after 6.:biggrin_2552:

You just proved my point: you're just making stuff up as you go along here. You are the one posting BS then call my stuff BS just because you are biased against straps for some odd reason. Maybe dad strapped your bare ### too much as a kid. Maybe handling chains stirs up homo-erotic feelings that straps don't. Macho man stuff? I bet your nipples are pierced and you have a chain connecting them both:biggrin_25523: you strap basher you!

And why do you think straps must be applied from the ground? I drop all my securement from the top of the load if possible or not too dangerous.

Why position binders on the top when it's safer and smarter to use them from the ground? Work smarter not harder. Haven't ya heard that one yet?

I can climb like a monkey but what's the point?

Keep this nonsense up and I'd more likely loosen one on your trailer! You couldn't afford me anyway.

You and me both! I agree with you here but please don't compare me to Maverick or Reed drivers.

Behind a Prime truck now, been waiting to load for 20+ min, never once got out of his truck. But as soon as he pulls inside the building he decides to start digging his chains out.:biggrin_25510:

His binders are totally rusted, maybe he should just use straps!:biggrin_2559:
