Question on CDL when not working but at home on your days off

Did you go to school to get your CDL?

IF you did, you need to get a refund.

 

Your off. You log off duty.

While off:
Get sleep, your going to need it.
Get your washing done.
Per cook meals for the road.

That's your normal day off.

To the OP,

Just log the off days on one page if on paper logs.
For example, Off duty 5-1-15 through 5-3-15......draw one straight line across and done!

 

Not really "funny", as it is quite possible. Suppose you logged "off-duty" for your 34 hours you were just at home. However, Monday afternoon you are involved in an unfortunate crash, and perhaps some involved are seriously injured. Their lawyer starts looking into your activities and discovers that on the weekend when you were allegedly "off duty", you had been operating a side business mowing yards for money. Your log SHOULD have shown this time as "on duty, not driving", which means you did not LEGALLY have your 34 hour restart, which MIGHT (depending upon how hard you ran last week) put you over on your 70. You're now in deep doo-doo for falsifying your log and potentially being over-hours at the time of the crash...which COULD put you in a room at the gray bar motel.

 

Just log off duty.
