Yeah... that’s another idea. Would take many feet of fuel line and a lesson in the flow of fuel and return though, but still a good idea.

That fitting might actually come off because we only put that on about 2 years ago. And if it did crack the fuel line it would be no harm right? Since that is the send to a tank that’s shut off after that ball valve?

Well. I did figure out, well I think, that regulator is on the send side. Because both of those lines go to the bottom of the tanks. Tried a little jb weld steel stick, no good, still sweating. But doesn’t leak when motor is powered down.

So if this is on the send side, & I take these fittings apart, fuel is coming out isn’t it? It doesn’t seem to be under pressure when the motor is off. Then the getting air in part, trying to avoid that too. It almost seems like I can hook the passenger side send line straight the OUT on the regulator, by pass the regulator straight to the motor

    Anymore tips? Thanks

Do you have two valves or just one? It looks like just one.

Well I got the one in the picture & another one on the return side, straight into/onto the tank itself.

The top one (not leaking) is feed or draw lines going to motor.
Bottom one (damp one, leaking) is the return lines. The part that is leaking is a Velvac Fuel Return Flow Splitter that is supposed to evenly return fuel to both tanks. Replace it, it only costs $40.
My bet is the shut off valve is to try and get the tanks to return and level better. I replaced mine with all the fuel lines because the lines were very old and it was filling the right tank more. After replacing all lines and the splitter it returns more to the left tank. LOL Or it is drawing more from??? Still working on the problem. Its not as bad though.

    HopeOverMope Thanks this.

Ten4. The one in the link does look just mine. I guess it could be the return, even though the fuel line from that splitter goes to the bottom of the tanks?

I'm looking at your pictures and it exactly like the one in your pictures but I'm not there.
Are you sure those lines don't go to the top of the tanks? Because it looks to be same exact set up as on my 96 pete.

Yeah I’ll have to double check tomorrow, but pretty sure they go to the bottom. Which means I got a hundred gallons of diesel to deal with still

You check but I am certain those lines go to the top.
Your tanks don't have shut off valves on the bottom lines?
