When it's time to get a new pair of glasses, how does that work? Prescription glasses usually take 3-7 days to arrive, and if you only get 1-2 days off?

You book your appointment for when you’re home, then the next time you’re home you pick up your new ones and get them fitted.

Lots of online providers (cheaper) if you have your current rx

We used 2 hometimes, a couple weeks apart, the first for exam and order, second for pickup and fitting.

Anytime I need new glasses I make an appointment for two weeks out and take some hometime for it. I make sure to purchase new frames for the new glasses so I can keep my old ones. Then have someone get the new ones for me once their ready. The next time I go through home I pick them up.

shop online just make sure your rx is exact. My last pair from glasses.com was off a little and it showed. Good luck

My eye doc was a great guy. He knew I was a driver and could never really plan my time that far out to schedule appointments. He always told me to call his office and let them know as soon as I could when I would be in. he always got to me. After if I needed glasses he would give me the paper and on my way to work I took a few hours to get the lenses made.

That was not one of my better days. Later on I had a time finding a place to park for the night. I was sweating so much my clothes were wet. I knocked the glasses off while under the trailer trying to spray some lubricant so I could get the tandems to slide. The glasses were lightweight wire rimmed glasses and one step of my size 12 foot and they were history.
NavigatorWife Thanks this.
