Question on my next steps...

Hey guys! Hope you are having a wonderful week!


I just had a couple questions. I'm getting ready to start school in a couple weeks (23rd) and I'm looking at companies to apply to. The only hang up here is that I my school finishes mid to late March and I don't turn 21 until June 12. So I have 3 months in between to work locally. My goal is to work OTR after I turn 21.

My questions:

1. How early can I apply to jobs before my birthday?
I'd like to time it right so I start (or at least be in communications) with a OTR company pretty soon after my birthday, but I don't want to apply so early that they blow me off for being under 21 at application.


2. I can't decide whether I want to pull a refer or a tanker (leaning toward tanker). Should I apply to some of both?

I will check the Schneider Bulk again as I don't remember if they had a different age for Bulk than their Refer division.

I'll check out the companies you listed.

As for applying, I'll just give it a shot and see what they say.
