I don't know But I went from Tx to NM, my rate dropped in half, and they claimed it was because Txhad 5 major population centers.
I also know for a fact that even the high quote you have their for Alaska, is several thousand low for a several year old MC from progressive. Infact your low rate from them will not even come close to insuring my log truck with a 100 mile radius, through progressive.

well it's a 3 year old list but I'm sure there are lots of variables, age of drivers history ect.. In the original topic I posted it in there is a guy also in FL who is paying $35k insurance for a new MC in FL. My agent told me he's given people quotes of up to $60k for a car hauler before. Meaning there is a lot of unknown variable that maybe me or you don't think is a big deal but flags something in their rate system..

I mean look at the difference in my rates.. I called 1 day and was quoted $19k for a FL MC auto hauler. I called back the next day to get a quote for MO and the agent noticed that that day my 3 points dropped off. (I had no idea) he recalculated and suddenly I'm at $12k literally 24hrs difference in the times of the quotes but I'm able to save $7k instantly.. just because a little under $500 claim dropped off that very day...

So when you take those rates into account you have to accept they are average. They will be a mix of guys that are very high and very low so maybe it's not that low for you but other guys are maybe drastically lower or higher..

Yea, but I was going by my record no points no violations and never a claim.. Now 3 years ago it was considerable cheaper. I was getting 1 mil and everything that went along with it including 100,000 cargo, unlimited mileage for around 8 grand., ut even then the state screwed up my registration and put me back to intestate, so the feds wanted more insurance and it the cheapest I could have got was 14 grand. I have since got a seat belt ticket, and according to the insurance companies, I might as well have run through a crowd and killed a few dozen people. lol

New authority with a new driver, currently paying $27K a year. Not sure if this is normal here in Texas.

I kick around the idea of getting my own authority. I have 6 years in. I'm leased now.

I can tell you with mine I have had my CDL 2 years now but I haven't driven that entire time but my license is aged a bit now. I dunno if that helps as well.

    Does this include cargo insurance?
