Thanks, but no luck. as I already posted the only coverage avilable is a 500 mi radius policy with Progressive for the princely sum of $12,900 w/o physical dmg. I guess I'm going to buy it. I'll have an $1100 truck note and a $1400 insurance note... WOW, it's like being 16 again... :biggrin_25526:

That is for Physical damage. Its not for liability which is the part that costs so much.

If you lease on with a company will you use their insurance or have to obtain your own?

What about if you have full coverage but then lease on with a company does your insurance cover you or will you be forced to use the company's insurance that you signed on with?

Check on that 500 mile radius. I insure my equipment that way, as they have a % of how much of your time is spent within the 500 mile radius. I am allowed to wander, as long as the bulk of my time is within that 500 mile range, which it normally is.

I was told that I'd be allowed to go out of radius 4 times per year and be covered. I've found a company to lease to that has cargo for $145 weekly which is $7500 a year. If you include the physical damage and bobtail thats $5500 less than getting my own insurance.

Mark so if you wanted to lease on to a company that runs 48 states you would be held hostage by the insurance co. situation?

They really should consider your past experience.
