I got a question for you Rick G. I had a post about me going 78 on a 55 which was before I got my cdl permit. Because of that do you think Prime will really consider me after I pass my driving test?

I am not RICK G but I will weigh in and then he can make his assesment also..

    78 in a 55 = 22 mph over = reckless driving offense..

Did the ticket state 78 in a 55 or was it reduced ? this is a big question..

    In consideration from PRIME ...

Have you pulled your MVR yet? If not go to the DMV and do so. If the ticket shows up on your 5 yr MVR you will need to be upfront and disclose it to them. If not (if it does not show up) I would not disclose it .. But you have to be absolutely certain it is not on there go pull a recent up to date one and see if it reports..

If you are upfront (if it shows up) they may still consider you for employment. but keep in mind anything over 20 mph is RECKLESS DRIVING I think in some states it is considered at 15mph . This is in any vechile either commerical or POV (privately owned vechicle)

good luck I hope this helps ...

    Rick will weigh in also...

    billh and Baack Thank this.

I have to agree . Not only prime but most other carriers . Again , it will most likely be because their insurance carrier won't accept you . That doesn't rule all driving jobs out . Some local companies needing CDL drivers may consider you .

I did pull my driving record up and its still there. I did a 10 yr record instead of the five. I was just wondering if they would accept it that's why I asked. I'm going Monday to look into driving for food service. I'm kinda hesitant though. Thanks for the reply
