Question to Smokers Pumping Gas...

Page two. I went across the street to the office that dispatched this lady and I asked them if they allowed their workers to smoke while filling their gas tanks. The office manager said “no”, and asked if I had a truck number. I had a number off the truck, butit was not a number that identified that truck. They allow their employees to smoke in their trucks, but not while fueling. Ok, fine.

Page three. I emailed the TN Dept of Inspections to find out how I should report this incident. Their response was it is the gas stations responsibilty to enforce the no smoking rule while fueling. Good to know.

Why would you tell someone to mind their own business in this situation.....you must smoke while fueling.

Page four. I hope some day you are sitting in front of me, and you throw your cig out your window, and I run up to you, and toss it back into your car. I am guessing you frequently throw trash out your window.

If your brake lights were not working, I would tell you, and then you would tell to mind my own business. Ok, fine, I won’t tell you.

 

I dont intend to be the one to die if a cig lights some gas vapors. I tend to stay away from stupid.

 

So the rule of not smoking while fueling should not be enforced for everyones safety? Those red signs required by law should be ignored? I guess I will be a troublemaker!
