Are you talking about the Vin? If so that can't be changed. If your talking about the number on the side of the truck and he is no longer with the company he can just use a small razor and peep the numbers off. If you talking about the dot number that must stay on the truck if you are leased to a company or if you have your own authority the fmcsa will issue your company one and you must put that on the truck. Got it? :biggrin_25526:

I think he is talking about the actual truck number that a O/O will assign to their truck. Not the DOT/VIN.

If you are talking about the truck number, the company will assign you a number. In reality nobody cares what truck number you put on your own truck or if you even have one, I changed 4 companies in last 3 years and got tired of having to change the number so I just left it on there.

    ROAD???

Hmmm....always thought it was the wrong side of the tracks.

Roads have sides(?)....who'd a thunk it could be so technical to drive a truck?:biggrin_25512:
