“But Six, these places require experience to get a driving job.”
They may not be able to hire you off the street as a driver, but they can hire you for the warehouse and train you as a driver. You just need to get your foot in the door with that company. I went to the DMV took the written test and applied for a job at a beer distributor in the warehouse. I worked the warehouse 1 month and got my CDLs. My kid sister took a job loading planes for FedEx, applied to the local community college for her CDL, and FedEx took care of the rest.Chinatown Thanks this. -
If you have to be home at a certain time or home on certain days, it may be a problem as a truck driver .
99.9% of trucking companies don’t give a tinkers dam about you or your home life.
they expect You to basically be their slave for weeks at a time .
Spending 70-80 hours or more a week working for them and actually getting paid for about 40 hours. -
Just an FYI, a cdl is easier than getting a taxi medallion.
A lot easierChinatown Thanks this. -
