Hello,
Recently I have had as many as 5 jobs in the last 2 years and was wondering if all those would appear on my background check being conducted by my new employer? I have read in several US Express forums that they would appear and heard through my pops that they would not.
Is this true?

Were these CDL jobs? If they were, I think you're required by law to list them on applications.
-
No it is not a CDL job. I admit that I made a few mistakes back in my teens to twenty but have started to have a solid work history.
-
The last application that my husband filled out, required a 10 year job history, if his cdl was used for those jobs, if not then they only wanted 5, I dont know if that is the general rule, I am not sure weather or not they would show up, but I would be honest and list them, to avoid any future problems, if they where to find out, they might think you where trying to hide something? As for the background check, I know someone on here mentioned, that they are not always criminal checks, sometimes they are dmv checks, they were right as we ran into that recently, here where thinking criminal back gound check, I already have the job, nope it was a dmv report, he didnt get the job at all!! Just thought I would mention that. Good luck to you.

I don't think these would show up on your standard "background check", BUT, if your new employer EVER gets a hold of you social security and tax records, it will show up unless you were paid under the table. I once worked for a very mean woman, and she fired me for going to the doctor and said some outrageous things about me...I don't know that I would list her in case someone calls her and gives her a chance to say her mean crap....but, I paid SS and taxes during that time, so I worry that it could screw me in the long run.

be honest upfront. otherwise it will bite you in the butt! You will end up being approved for orientation at some terminal 1000miles from home and one week into training they will tell you there seems to be a problem with your application. Then you will be stuck fronting yourself a bus ticket for the ride home.

Big Dog, You may need to look at a local company until this is cleared up and gone from your driving record.
You could also contact one of those companies that clean up DACs. They cost, but it might be worth it.
Good luck to you!big dog from nyc Thanks this. -

On second read; if you don't have a CDL how do you have a DAC? I have never had a CDL, and I am not on a DAC report. I thought it had to do with CDL's only? Am I mistaken? I have a clean driving record therefore there should not be more than my DMV report...no DAC. -
Geez, Mods, I need help on how to quote....lol
