Stop ######## about how hard it is to find work. Yes even I'm guilty of this but what pisses me off is to hear how some of you old timers or people who have had trucking jobs , QUIT and are now ######## about how hard it is to find a trucking job..

I don't know much about the industry but I know plenty about working and having some felonies on my record.. Bottom line, when you get a job keep the dam job until I get HIRED at something else..

Don't quit a job thinking you can go right back into the same field with ease. Biggest mistake many people with records have, getting comfortable and taking a job for granted. I've done it, I won't be doing it again.

Even if I get with a #### company like CR England,( which I most likely will having some felonies on my record )

I plan to bend over and take it up the wahoozle for at least a year before I start looking for something better and even then I'll make sure I'm hired before I quit.

    HEY,GYPSEY HERE.
JUST WANTED TO GET BACK TO THE ONES WHO REPLIED TO MY POST ON TRUCKING COMPANIES THAT ARE UNFAIR TO DRIVERS!
TO START WITH IN MY CONVERSATION i DID STATE THAT i WAS FIRED UNDER FALSE REASONINGS SO IF ANYBODY HAS BAD MORALS I BELIEVE YOU MUST HAVE BAD READING COMPREHENSION BEACAUSE I DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE. I ONLY REFUSED TO DRIVE PAST THE 11 HR DOT RULE! NOW SHE DID TELL A RELAIABLE FRIEND OF MINE THAT I TOTALLY BELIEVE WHEN HE TOLD ME WHAT SHE SAID. IF SOMEONE SAID THAT THEY WERE GOING TO GIVE A GOOD REFERNCE MAYBE YOU WILL HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO ME HOW OR WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS IF THEY SAY THAT SOMEONE HAS BEEN TERMINATED. HOW WOULD THAT BE CONSIDERED A GOOD REFERNCE? YOU MUST BE LOOKING AT A DIFFERENT DICTIONARY THAN ME OR THE MEANING OF A TERMINATION VERSES A GOOD REFERNCE. PLEASE EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, I AM 54 YRS OLD AND I HAVE WORKED ALL MY LIFE AND I DO HAVE GOOD WORK ETHICS AND HAVE WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO DO WHATEVER I CAN DO TO HELP FELLOW EMPLOYEES AND OVER THE LAST 5 YRS I HAVE BECOME A GOOD DRIVER AND I KNOW MY JOB VERY WELL, SO UNTIL YOU MEET ME, WHICH I DOUBT YOU EVER WILL,YOU SURELY HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE ME!
I WILL GIVE YOU THIS THOUGH,APPARENTLY YOU HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE TRUCKING BUSINESS LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THERE ARE COMPANIES OUT THERE THAT WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE! OR MAYBE YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO SPENDS ALOT OF TIME UNDER THE DESK.
I HAVE PONDERED OVER THIS THE WHOLE WEEK-END AND I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT I AM A MUCH BETTER PERSON THAN WHAT YOU AND MY LAST COMPANY HAS PERTRAYED ME TO BE.
I RAN MY ### OFF FOR THAT COMPANY WHEN THEY HAD NOBODY ELSE TO GO AND THIS NEW SAFETY ##### THINKS SHE HAS THIS BIG AX SHE CAN USE WHEN EVER SHE WANTS, SHE BETTER KNOW THE LAW, I DON'T THINK SHE HAS ENOUGH SENSE TO GET OUT OF HER OWN WAY. SHE CAN ONLY HOPE SHE HAS ALL HER DUCKS IN A ROW!
WHEN I TALK TO A LAWYER I WILL POST IF I HAVE A CASE OR NOT. MAYBE I COULD HIRE YOU. YOU SEEM TO ALREADY KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS, MAKES ME WONDER WHY YOU ARE DRIVING A TRUCK AND NOT DOING CONSULTING, YOU KNOW THERE IS ALOT MORE MONEY IN THAT FIELD.LOL!
YOU KNOW I WOULD MUCH RATHER BE HOME IN MY OWN BED, USING MY OWN BATHROOM AND EATING HOME COOK MEALS. I MAY DECIDE NOT TO GO BACK OUT DRIVING AND STAY HOME SO I CAN HAVE A LIFE INSTEAD OF GIVING IT TO A CUT THROAT COMPANY THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT THIER DRIVERS EXCEPT TO RUN THE LIFE OUT OF THEIR DRIVERS, ALTHOUGH I WILL NOT PUT THIS TO THE WAYSIDE WITHOUT GAINING MY REPUTATION BACK. THIS SITUATION IS JUST ANOTHER WAY OF HOW THESE COMPANIES BLACKBALL DRIVERS. [READ OTHER POST.]
YES SHE DID LIE, AS I DID, BUT I WOULDN'T HAVE IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN SHE WAS GOING TO SET ME UP LIKE SHE DID. SO YES THAT MAKES HER A BACK STABBER.
ONCE GOD CLOSES A DOOR HE WILL ALWAYS OPEN A WINDOW SO MAYBE HE HAS A BETTER PLAN FOR ME ANYWAY!
TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR THOUGHTS AND REMEMBER YOU AND HER ARE NOT ALWAYS CORRECT! LOVE GYPSEY

That's what some of these companies like about you convicted felons - you're used to taking it up the pooper. I think some of you even like it. If it was up to me, we'd lower the standards for capital punishment so that nobody would ever have more than one felony conviction. Give everybody one chance at a screwup and after that, the needle for you. The taxpayers and victims of crime shouldn't have to keep on paying for YOUR mistakes.

Actually, my posting history will reflect that I'm big on law and order. There's way too many good, hard-working truck drivers out here that try hard to portray a good image for the industry. They not only do that with their own actions, they try to have a positive influence on others, as well. The trucking industry needs these guys - the guys that care enough about their profession to always show it in it's most positive light. What the trucking industry doesn't need is the reputation of being a dumping ground for society's misfits.

So, part of law and order is to condescend citizens ?

BTW, we have a whole section that members could use help in law and order >> Trucking Industry Regulations

A misdemeanor for aggravated assault (Threatening)? Is that something that would keep a company from hiring a new driver? Would a CR England or that type of company be a better start for someone with a slightly colored past? Do a year or two of safe on time driving and then move to a better company?

you don't have to keep proof, but you have to list every place you worked. if there's any doubt, the social security admin., or state unemployment office has those records.

the simple and easy plan is, just be honest. for some of you, it was dishonesty that got you into the situation you are in. guess some folks are slow learners.

My opinion is either you are too young or too inexperienced or just plain unwilling to accept the fact that people can and do change. The Bible says all of heaven rejoices for one sinner who repents. I have no problem with law and order. Sometimes law enforcement officials are as bad or worse than felons. That is a fact of life. Labels and job discriptions do not show the real person. And as far as the transportation industry being a dumping ground for felons, you are sadlly misguided. There are few occupations where people who have straightened their lives out are denied employment.
