Questions about felonies, background checks, and companies that will hire felons....

In some ways I would agree with you. I believe in capital punishment. I also agree with you on one, maybe two chances in society, then "the needle". But you have to look at it from my standpoint. I am an x-felon. with a capital crime in my record. I would bet a lot of money that if you were in my shoes, you wouldn't be saying those things.

I have been out of prison now for 10 years and am now good friends with what was my parole officer. I am looking for schools for trucking. I am ready to change my life to be able to snub my nose at ignorant people like you. I would have to say that you watch, or have watched too many prison movies. lol or even been the bad boy and went to jail for being drunk or something similar.

I don't know you, and obviously you don't know me, but I have to say that before you judge someone, you have to know them, you cant just read a post and assume that the person writing the post is just like all the other "felons" in the world.

I understand that people like you don't know how to use your words to communicate effectively to another person effectively. As a result of that ignorance of vocabulary or or inability to convey your point of view properly, you resort to insults and irrationally conceived notions that in the end just makes you look and sound like a fool.

So to all of you on this forum who do not understand what its like to be a felon please, PLEASE! understand that not all felons are bad guys. their not all evil. they are people just like anyone else, they have just done some bad things in their past and are trying to change their life's for the better.

statisticly only 15 percent of all cdl holders still drive a truck after one year from leaving a cdl school. Many new drivers blame their inexperience in the beggining on the trucking company and think that things will be less stressful at the next company. Its easier for a trucker to job hop once he has that magic year of otr experience but to do as your husband did, definitely a no no.
