You are 100% correct, 1 drink or 10...drinking is drinking...you are or have been drinking or not had any at all. If a person decides to go out and have dinner or just meet a friend at a bar, then its not too hard to make arrangements ahead to have someone pick you up or carry a friend with you that will not be drinking...driving any vehicle after having had anything to drink is not a mature or responsible thing to do. DUI's or DWI's are choices made before the 1st sip of alcohol is taken..I don't drink , never acquired the taste for it , but I do hunt...Now how many of you would be OK with me sitting in deer stand when its cold having drink or 2 to "keep me warm". then as I head back to my truck just as I get to within eyesight of the road, a HUGE buck crosses the road headed into the woods on the other side, now just as I pull the trigger your wife headed home from work , drives by, only to have a .270 round take her head off. How many of you would say...don't convict him of murder and make sure he never has access to a gun or booze again , or would you just say...he was cold and only had had a couple to keep him warm...it was only a mistake in judgement for him to try and drink and shoot a high-powered rifle.....if you can't see its the exact same thing as a DUI..I'm sorry

That is just a ridiculous statement.

I do not see where it is a holier than thou attitude, yes we all make mistakes, but not to the point where it would cost someone their life or your own profession.

if someone has to be hurt or killed by the next idiot that drives drunk, may it be a close relation of yours. then come and talk to me about everyone "making mistakes" and **** happens. its not a mistake. its a choice, and a choice that kills people every day. hope its someone close to you.
