I don't drink alcohol in any form. Nothing against alcohol specifically, the fact is I don't like the taste of most of it.

With the attention that DUI has gotten over the past 25 years, for anyone to have their head so far up their ### that they can think driving after drinking is a "mistake" is unbelievable.

Especially a trucker with over 20 years of experience. Again: they get no pity from me. Can't find a job? Good riddions. Maybe you should take that as a hint to find another career.

As I said, he wasn't driveing, wasn't planning on driveing. He was simpley waiting in his car for a friend to come pick him up, with it running. HIs friend got their before the cop had even finished writting up the ticket.
That wasn't in my OP because, it doesn't matter as far as DOT is concerned, the way the ticket was written it shows as Operating a Motor vehicle while Intoxicated, DWI as far as DOT is concerned.
    Not "I" thank you, I don't drink and haven't since b4 my son was born...23 yr's ago.

I don't have much pitty myself with driveing after drinking.... and I never would have asked IF that had been the case. I was a Paramedic long enough to have seen enough.

Well ..I know for a fact that nurses make really good money...My wife is an CRNA and she makes more than I did before I retired, it does take quite a bit of schooling , but its worth the effort. Even if you don't decide to go any farther than an RN they are needed badly....

You should've known better than to post this subject here? The holier than thou crowd love to jump all over this subject with the moronic opinions cause most of them do or have done the same or worse. There's two kinds of people in this world the CAUGHT and UNCAUGHT, your friend has officially joined the ranks of the caught. Tell him to pull his own mvr and if it don't show up don't mention it and over supply of information isn't always helpful. Myself I'd hire someone with a old dui if it didn't cost me anything extra or they paid the additional amount somehow. I don't base a lifetime on one event when it comes to people.
Like someone else said sxxt happens.
