    You're way over thinking it.

Not nearly as healthy or tasty as cooking properly, but it is faster.
And you can't make a perfect baked potato in a microwave.

Microwaves are only good to heat something up, after it has been cooked properly.

Exactly why I ended up going with a toaster oven instead of a microwave.

Still undecided and Moosetek13 Thank this.

Real men and cats just use the bunk heater.

Or you could wrap it in a hand towel. You're right, until I wrapped the turntable up the rattling was terrible.

Walmart $40 700 watt microwave sitting on a wooden shelf, strap around it and some foam folded up to keep it from moving at all.

It's worked fine for almost 5 years and hasn't budged.

2500 watt inverter. I suspect the inverter will be a bigger problem for you than the microwave due to what you said about your company, but if they aren't cool with you having something as basic as a microwave why are you there? Apparently they have no respect for your basic needs.

If I was going to use a microwave I would check out the ones made for motorhomes. Go to Camping World or some place like that. I’m sure there’s a difference in those and the ones for your house?

I have a 2020 Cascadia. I have the cheap $40 700 watt Walmart microwave in the microwave shelf just above the fridge. I use the bubble wrap that it was wrapped in for shipping for the micro plate to stop the rattling.
I’m home every weekend so I cook at home. Store in refrigerator and Put the dinners in 1 serving Tupperware and heat when I’m ready to eat.
I bring salad, chopped up veggies, cooked eggs and bacon, and never need to eat the truck stop slop. I then have so many other options for parking since I don’t NEED a truck stop…
I haul pharmaceuticals so I park at a lot of shippers and receivers and never worry about truck stop food….
