I was under the strict impression to NEVER EVER use TS towels. Was that a myth or should I plan on bringing my own set of towels/washcloths?

I think most truck stop towels are safe to use. I always had one in my sack though. The reason was sometimes the provided towel was not large enough for me. I hated using it because I never liked putting anything wet in my dirty clothes area.

i carry a plastic grocery bag in my backpack when i go shower. fold and put dirty clothes in plastic then put plastic in backpack. next shavng bag and towel, i use the ts towels on the floor. there is always that chance your towel might be the not so clean one.
