I'm also thinking about their training program and I'd also appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through their program and is currently working for Prime. Seems a little strange that I haven't read more about them here. Sure do see a lot of Prime truck on the road

First day at orientation is some paperwork, a urinalysis and visit with the company doctor, then it's studying for your CDL permit. You get some basic classes during this process - like airbrakes for example - and you need to have passed the written test by the end of the week.

Hint: You can get a permit from your home state and bring it with you to short circuit the first week... also helps that you've had a physical at home so there's no surprises at orientation. If you do this, you need a hardcopy permit for MO. If nothing else, study like heck before you go to orientation.

After the first week, you're assigned to a CDL instructor for 100 hours of over-the-road instruction, culminating with backing practice on the training pad in Springfield. After this you do you driving test for your permanent CDL.

Meals and room are covered by Prime while you're there. They'll advance you $240 to cover your costs over the road. You're not officially hired and being paid until you get your CDL. Another hint: It helps to have some cash with you when you show up at Prime... I believe you need some $$$ to cover the cost of the permit if you get one in MO.
