So you're saying if we can get enough drivers to take out toll booths around the country we can eliminate toll roads?
I think CR England finally found a purpose.

I dunno, seems to me at the very least, one truck driver found a way to help the cause.
Didn't one some many years ago, crash into some government building (state building perhaps) because of some problem he was having and he didn't like the way it was going?BostonTanker Thanks this. -
Are you sure you want to stay in such proximity with each other for so much time? Since you won't be driving it will be practically 24/7. It sounds fun at first, but the confines of a truck are little more than a comfy prison, and the cellmate might not be such pleasant company after a stretch.

Yes I am sure. I don't require much to be honest just a space to do homework and place to read. I am very low maintenance.

Besides. She actually does real good in the truck. She's gone 52 hrs straight in a day cab without #####ingFatDaddy Thanks this.

Get 4G unlimited so you can get internet and not be bored. Maybe have him try to start early and finish early....he can drive while you sleep in the morning........then you can get good spots when you park and be up and around during regular business hours.

It's always great to have a supportive spouse ! I salute you for that. Being out here WITH him now will enable you to empathize with him later when you're not with him and he's hung out to dry on the other side of the country , or 250 miles from you with no recourse to get home because of HOS restrictions. (sh) IT HAPPENS.
If he is new to the industry, and by your comments it appears that he is, he should sit tight at Werner for at least a year and prove that he's willing to work hard and willing to take the loads other drivers whine about. You'll see others sitting and waiting on that special dispatch when they could have been moving on down the road. Keep the wheels turning.
Do take advantage of your downtime together to get OUT of the truck and explore new towns. Go for a walk on a Saturday. Festivals and Flea Markets are much better than an idling Peterbilt at a TA or Flying J while waiting to unload at Costco on Monday morning.
After he gets his seasoning behind the wheel, better paying opportunities will open up for him. Investigate them THOROUGHLY before jumping ship, though. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Lots of companies will tell you whatever they have to just to get you in the seat.
IT TAKES A SPECIAL KIND OF WOMAN TO BE MARRIED TO A TRUCK DRIVER!!!! never forget that.Boston_Tankers_Girl and BostonTanker Thank this. -
Thank you that means alot. It isn't easy and he sometimes thinks I am nuts for wanting to tie the knot with him but then I smile and say because I love your crazy ###. No matter how it gets we get through it as a team.

Oh that looks fun. Do I take out the passenger seat and let her sit on that all day? And where to I offload that mess?
