Hi, I am looking to get off the road and applied to a local position for ruan on their airgas account. So the 1st red flag is the "UPTO", $1250.00, per week, that language goes to show they are an OTR company and are possibly used to just recruiters that lie. So any info on ruan pertaining to this acct, it is out of Madison,WI. Or should i just hold out for LTL, like R+L,Estes,Old Dominion, etc. your experienced insight would be appreciated. Thank you, in advance.

I'm not familiar with this company. You could look up information on them to see if current/former employees have anything to say by checking out these websites:
www.glassdoor.com
www.ripoffreport.com
Might help you out a little until someone (here) posts something about them.... -
Thank you.

So Ruan is pulling Airgas trailers? So you will be employed by Ruan?

You're welcome, Hammer! Good Luck!

LTL personally. Unless you can get on with Airgas which is a good gig too. You'll see day runs at airgas unlike LTL unless your P&D at LTL.

I drive for Ruan and on their website on the account I drive for says 45k a year and that's way lower than anyone here makes so I would think if it says 1250 a week then It would be safe to say u would make that or more.. Some guys here make 1700 plus a week.. And we don't haul hazmat.. I say go for it!

I currently work for Ruan, I know two drivers doing the Airgas account and they are making a killing. They get paid for everything. As for the area covered, they are mostly covering the oh il in ia mi but on occasion will go to another state for a week to help out.
Ruan is good to their drivers (of course it dends on the terminal)
