Well as many of you may know, I have been looking for a better job for quite some time now, as my current company keeps getting slower. Done tons of research on companies as this is a great site to learn. Ive had several offers but some didnt pay too well, some lost customers and retracted their offers and some well... their other drivers attitudes turned me away. Well friday afternoon I got a phone call from Saia and he wants to talk to me moday about a system line haul position. Ive been through 2 interviews with him already so maybe he is interested in offering me this position. He said that Id be shuttleing trailers between terminals and be out 5 days a week with gurnateed weekends off and avg 500 miles a night. Anyone have experiences with Saia? Maybe work with them currently? Also, I have heard that line haul drivers drive day cabs and stay in hotels during the week, any truth to that? Thatd sure be a change for sure, dont get many hotels. Would love to hear from someone already running as a system shuttle even from a different company as Im sure they will be comparable. Also, any info on pulling doubles would be appreciated too since I have never pulled a set. Thanks guys, appreciate all the knowledge on here and Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the wonderful world of "wiggle wagons". Just remember one thing, put your blinders on while driving cause that rear pup will make you a nervous wreck if you stare at it goin down the road. Don't worry I'm sure your trainer will tell you the same. Good luck and be careful.
