I guess every driver's experience is different (duuhhh).
At Schneider -- hazmat gave me first dibbs on some loads leaving Atlanta (both in dry van, and in intermodal) that other drivers weren't allowed to pull -- all becuz I had a hazmat endorsement (and they didn't).
Hazmat loads also often pay more (for example: per mile) than the equivalent trailer, without any hazmat.

You also get first pick of the high value loads.
If two drivers are available but there is only one load, if the load is HV then the driver with HM gets it while the other sits.Lonesome Thanks this. -
In regards to doubles and tanker what they are talking about is Entry Level Driver Training. They should provide, imo, but there's a list somewhere on ttr with authroirsed providers. It's just paying $25-50, watching some videos, and taking a test before going to the dmv and taking the same test.LadyNytmre Thanks this.

he will hey tegilar honetine to reset his clocks. He should see consistent miles to budget well. And I don't know exactly how that account works but the ones I ran without fail I had approximately 60 hours off. So that's really the benefit to Dedicated accounts because you do have the consistent mileage as well as the consistent regular home time that you can count on however the trade-off is it's lower cpm.
I've heard that account to me rough. So have them just stick with it for at least 6 months and then see if he can switch if it comes down to that.LadyNytmre Thanks this. -
Small update (and continued thanks for everyone!) - he's now on the Aurora Parts dedicated and a Greyhound bus ticket has been secured. Dropping him off on Sunday morning and looking forward to seeing how it goes for him.

Good luck to him!

Welp, he arrived and he's stranded at the bus station. They were supposed to email him an itinerary this weekend but no one did so he figured someone would meet him at the bus station and know where to drop him off. Nope. The itinerary was supposed to have the name/number of the ride share or shuttle service and the address of the hotel and the booking info. Recruiting offices are closed until 8 am tomorrow morning so he's calling the closest hotel to see if they have a booking for him but after that, we're stumped. Going to google for some sort of number to the Schneider facility in Charlotte - maybe someone there knows what he's supposed to do.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Can he do a Lyft or Uber to his next destination?
If he has a cellphone -- he can download the app for either (or both) the above -- then request a ride from that.
Of course -- he'll also need a working credit card.
