Amazing, thanks for the links! Got anything in Virginia? We're located in Virginia but the northwest corner of it. We can get him to N Carolina if we have to but we'd be grateful for something closer if we can find it. He is applying with those links as I type.

Editing to add - no endorsements at this time. It's something he plans on getting but was told at the school that he needed to "get those through the company you hire on with". Which is totally different from how my husband did it - he just studied and went to the DMV for the tests but that was years ago and maybe things have changed.

CDL School Graduates Pay

• Entry-Level pay starting at $0.24 cents per mile
• Average first year salary of $58,000
• OTR training for the first ninety (90) days with a certified trainer
• $1,500 Sign-On Bonus Eligibility
• Home weekly with two (2) days per week at home
• Paid weekly

$.24 cpm with teams means the new cdl school grad gets $.24 cpm for all the miles he drives, plus all the miles the trainer drives. In other words, he gets paid while he's sleeping and the trainer is driving also.

Oh no, sorry. We're 5.5 hours away from Charlotte. His recruiter for Schneider was supposed to be checking on ways to get him down there but he hasn't heard back. It was part of my original post - asking if anyone knew if Schneider provides that or not. We can get him down there if absolutely necessary - I just don't relish the thought of a 11+ hours drive on I-81.
