- I'm currently with my trainer and due to test out sometime in the up coming week. I'm trying to decide whether I want to continue over the road, or just go regional. If some one that is regional or otr who used to be regional could give some inside scopes about the 2, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

You will get more miles OTR than regional.

Miles I won't talk about, because everyone runs different, what I will say is when I was otr the trips are longer and all I worried about was my 11. I stopped showered, sat down ate lunch, dinner, etc. Regional, on the other hand, its all about the 14!!! Shorter trips, drop and hook, unload, load all eating the clock (can bump a dock 3-4 times a day regional, otr can go days of driving before docking). Everyday my 14 is gone, so you will "work" 14-15 hours a day regional (at least I do). BUT I LOVE regional anyway. Hope that helps
MojoPotatoe and L.B. Thank this. -
Thanks alot for the. Input fellas!

Boomer hit the nail on the head! I average between 2200 and 2700 miles per week. If you go regional take Hhg miles because a lot of the shorter runs pay the same miles but Hhg pays more per mile.
Boomer 1 and slim shady Thank this. -
Are yall still sitting a bunch down in albany? When i got out of my trainers truck we were sitting a bunch down there. He was regional.
