Questions about swift academy in millington

It was cool it took a minute to get the double clutching down. After that it was all timing and reminding what to do. Not too bad. I got lucky also as there are only 2 on our truck so we got lots of driving time. I drove us back to the range afterwards. Practice that shifting sheet we were given and learn the gear speeds. That will be a huge help if you forget what gear you are in.

 

so what type of dot physical do they do at swift?

 

I'm not sure what you mean by type. They checked my blood pressure, vision, hearing, and general wellness. And of course the drug test. It all seemed pretty standard to me.

 

Hey Nelson, I passed the road evaluation today. Off to the DMV Monday.

 

We had shifting class Monday. Just running through the gears and then back down. Tuesday and Wednesday we drove around making turns and getting the feel of the truck. Today we tested. Nothing major. Just like the range, watch your trailer, and be patient. Hardest part to me is downshifting that ol Freightliner lol.
