    First off, Merry Christmas y'all!

I should be starting TDI in Oxford, AL in Jan. I had a couple of questions about it. First, How strict are they about your credit to enroll? I don't have great credit and I have been worried about that. I didn't want to join one of those companies that had their own school as long as you contract with them and Oxford is an hour away from me. Second, I'll need to leave my car with my wife and kids and have her drop me off on Mondays. Is walking where I need to go an option or do you think it would be difficult to catch a ride with a fellow student to classes and stuff? Anything anyone can tell me about TDI in Oxford would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

You should check with the unemployment service or welfare to pay for your schooling. All the other students at my school got through that way. They also pay for the motel during the week that the other students are put up at so getting a ride every day shouldn't be hard. Companies will pay you $100 a month tuition reimbursement but that only covers the interest every month. Good luck.

K I went there the teachers there are very strict on safety and listening and being professional. Second they make you go with a co signer since you are more than likely unemployed. I used my mom and it the paper work had to be notarized and her credit wasn't the best so that shouldn't be a problem. They shack you up in a hotel room during the week but you have to go home on the weekends. Every one of my classmates drove there on their own, and the hotel was a few miles from the school so walking is out. Finding a ride shouldn't be an issue but I would call the recruiter and ask him or her depending on which one your dealing with. Me personally I live north of Birmingham and drove there every weekend and bought enough microwavable food to each for the week, got old lol. Other than that good luck man.

My husband and I both attended the at thr Milton, FL campus. Hubby financed the tuition with them. His credit isnt good and he had to have a cosigner on the loan, but with that he was set. My tuition was covered by the WIA grant. You ought to look n to your local Jobs Plus/One Stop career center and see if you qualify for WIA funding. The grant covered my tuition and all of my DMV fees for my license and all endorsements.
