    Hi everyone
Kinda new driver here drove about 3 months for Arnold trucking then had to go home for personal reason now I am going out with USX and going through their training program now as well as the training I already completed at Arnold. Well USX training is 22 with a trainer and then 8 weeks teaming.
My question is what is teaming like. What is each driver responsible for can your team help you if you need them what if you get tired while driving can you stop or do you have to keep going. Is there a shared space for a fridge. Anyone who can give me a good idea of how this works I would appreciate it
    thanks

if you get tired and your co drivers legal break is up, then yes they can drive...if their break isnt up (log book)...then you need to STOP and take a nap DO NOT LET ANYONE push you if you are tired...YOU are responsible ...and its your license...dont let some stupid dispatcher push you into drivin tired, and you possibly end up in an accident and takin lives....as for shared fridge space, we are a husband wife team so thats not an issue for us. teaming is HARD work.,....it is a HUGE adjustment....you figure you are living with someone in a box smaller than most walk in closets...LOL...you better make sure you get along REALLLLYYYY well...LOL. it is hard to sleep in a moving truck...

He's talking about USX's policy of having newbies team for 8 weeks.

I would say to just try and get along with whoever they put you with. It's only 8 weeks.

Since you are both new I doubt if either of you have a fridge. The trucks don't come with them.

As was stated above, you each can only drive when legal to do so on your own logs. Any time you are too tired to drive just pull over, whether team or solo.

Well I am a girl just sayin not that it matters just to clarify. After the 22 days they will team you up with someone I am assuming it will not be a newbie but then again I don't know. I have my own tiny fridge but it neglected to bring it because I was afraid it would take up too much space. If while you are teaming if you you need help with something ie: sliding tandems, or getting weight right is your partner gonna be able or willing to help you? I know a lot of you will say it just depends on the person but I am curious as to what your thoughts are about the situation.

It is all depending on your partner. I personally believe you should be able to handle things on your own, BUT at only after twenty two days I'm sure you're going to find yourselves with some doubts and questions. Plus it never hurts to ask for help. ESPECIALLY since two trainees are working together (still scratching my head on that one). Just my take on it though. Hope it all works well for you.

You'd be surprised. Mega carriers allow students to train after 6 months, which is disgusting IMO.
