I feel a little lost because I don't know what most of this means. What are pump offs? What's a discharge valve? When do you get the "we don't have room in the tank" response and why is that upsetting? Like how does it affect you? And the same for number 5. What's HIT? What's NALCO?

Most of it means delays/aggravation while loading or unloading......

It can if you pump against a closed valve and the pressure relief valve on the pump is set to high....

Or if the hose is old /dry rotted...

That's a big reason we don't like to pump a long distance threw a lot of hose .

More hose = more chance for a problem.....

Or when an attendant steps on the hose in well below freezing temps and it splits out the side....the side that you're standing on ....just saying LOL
