In my area many of the fuel hauler outfits hire with no tank experience....kinda crazy when you think about it but they pay pretty well and most of it is home daily.

Maybe wait to start until next spring. Perhaps you are a natural and if so can disregard my free internet advice. But I've been driving tanks for awhile and I still have to be careful, especially when I get tired at the end of a long day. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about snow and rarely ice. You may want to get as long as possible a period of time to drive in non-snow conditions before taking that stuff on.
Even in the rain, having that surge hit at just the wrong time can break your tires loose.
So, how long until it starts snowing in Colorado?

I currently live in Denver, Colorado. I think I would depending on where. I don't really have anything stable set up here. I don't have any family, or kids or responsibilities. I just my friends house there for mail. That's pretty much it. So I guess it wouldn't be too big a deal to move.

I don't know when the snow will start. I am not from Colorado I just moved here not long ago. And I agree about driving the tanks in the snow I just don't like dealing with local stuff. Traffic, backing up more frequently, etc. Plus, living in the truck has its perks, such as not having to set up something stable like a house, not paying rent, and going outside of the state. That's why I like otr. Open highways, only really deal with traffic when I enter the city I'm picking up or delivering in, etc.

I know you interested in tanker.. But you may have to take a different path to get to it why get into truck get your OTR experience and you will get a sense of living in a truck doing cross country would be a option for you most companies in OTR will let you stay out as long as you want.

Okay. I'm coming up on a year of experience now. I know it's not long but I'm proud because when I was interested in becoming a trucker everyone told me I couldn't do it because I was "too small," or I don't "look like a trucker." Lol I wasnt aware truckers had a certain look.. One instructor in CDL school told me to get out while I could because I wouldnt make it since I'm black AND a woman, two strikes against me. I proved everyone wrong!!!!! Now they all say "you can't pull tanks! You're a woman! " LOL I'm going to prove them wrong on that too!
