Seems like forever ago so may not be accurate but should be close. Orientation, paid $50.00/day, paid daily. Hotel is paid by company so your 50 covers meals and there is usually a pretty good meal in the cafeteria for about $4.00 (lunch).

If you have to wait for a finisher, or truck, you get $60/ day layover. I believe you can pull that out of the cash machine daily. When you hit the road with finisher or when you are upgraded, you get .26/mile. That is paid weekly, and you can get $25 advances at authorized fuel stops and more at terminal cash machines.

Don't know how team pay works but solo get .30/mile, then steps up at 60,000, 90,000, 100000 miles .02 per step. Then another .01 at 125,000. At the end of the year you should be at .37. Add a penny per mile, per quarter for every quarter you don't hit anything.

Check with your recruiter for team pay.

Don't fall asleep during orientation and don't be late for anything. They will send you home for those infractions. Other than that, very laid back and it should be fund for you. If you don't have fun and make some friends, you are doing it run.

    Good decision on C-W, Welcome.

I'm doing orientation in Jacksonville this coming Monday. Does anyone know if the pay and the way it's distributed is any different there?

I am thinking of going with Con-Way and they stated [yesterday] for a solo driver it is .36 cents and in Nov it is increased to .37 cents.

That is the right number after 1 year. In your 10k mile training you are at .26 (maybe 27 with the pay hike) the it ramps up about every 90 days by .02 per jump. I grossed about $44k my first year. Recruiters will say that is about average, so its no lie.Good luck, hope you come on board.
