that would be where YOU the parent lay down the law. todays "millennial's" are a by product of parents who were too self absorbed with thier own lives, to guide thier kids. parents that had to go play a round of golf, or go to the tennis court, or other self absorbed things, leaving the kids to fend for themselves, up to the point as we see it everyday, not accepting responsibility for thier actions, or wanting things for free.

a good "back hand" was needed and GIVEN back in the old days. where as today, your kids call child services on you.

lay down the law, IN YOUR HOUSE, and you ain't gonna have no problems.

 

Ultimately, you both have to talk about the difficulties of being gone weeks and home a "couple" of days. You, personally, need to decide if you will be miserable with her out of or in your life. If you love her, and can't imagine not being able to come home to her, then you know your answer. If you feel you might have a longing for "something better" down the road, then you also know your answer. Good luck.

 

I can say that the govt incentivizes divorce especially if you have kids...see it firsthand and it’s disgusting...

 

Until we invent time machines we are stuck with the consequences we created. The coddled/feral children will have children. I'll bet very few of them become Drill Instructors or exhibit fierce discipline, no matter how much it would help the country.

 

Or he could get married and she divorces him taking half his ####. Then he dies alone AND broke.

 

pre-nups should always be considered for those who are skeered.

if one is going into a marriage and has lots of money, or possessions, then the practical, advisable thing to do is get up a pre-nup.

otherwise, when BOTH people enter a marriage and BOTH build up wealth from that, then an even split is what usually happens.

i think some are just too darned skeered.....

 

Never get married if you are unsure.

Whether it is the right person or wrong person if you are unsure it will all be wrong.

The right woman will guide you in the right direction with your best interest in mind. Together you can accomplish all things.

The wrong woman will guide you with her own selfish interest in mind. She will destroy everything and break you down to nothing. All things will end in failure and frustration with that woman.

Here is the truth about it.

Marriage is about being ready to be married. Marriage is about knowing what to expect and what it will be like being married.

And marriage is about knowing that you have the right person to have that life with.

A local job would be much better than OTR.
