Thanks for the advice, I may of been overthinking things, I was thinking I’d end up like AL Bundy in the future if I got married.

This is simply, if there's doubt, and there certainly sounds like there might be, doubt back out. When the correct one comes around there will be no doubt. Been Marrried 33 years, never had a doubt.

If there's doubt, get out. JMHO

He might be the driver I read about years ago.
When he died, both wives claimed insurance benefits and social security benefits. Neither knew about the other. From what I remember, the first wife got the benefits because the second marriage was ruled invalid since he wasn't divorced from the first wife.

Put as much time and effort as you need to, into the decision BEFORE you make it, but then OWN your decisions. Move on. No regrets.

I met my wife on a Friday, proposed on Sunday, married three months later. We just had our 26th anniversary. It hasn't been easy all the time, but it's as good now as it has ever been. In between, there was a HUGE monetary cost to staying married (although I didn't realize it at the time... plans just didn't work out the way I wanted), but those were decisions in the past and "hindsight" is unrealistic and counterproductive.

I’m by no means telling you not to marry her. I only stated that technically because of where you live you all ready are. You just haven’t done a ceremony and don’t have the official signed and sealed certificate. You and only you can make that decision. Sounds to me like you really want to but are just afraid. We’ve all been there. I’ve been officially married in a church for 23 years. We’ve known each other for 32. Did it at age 24 she’s 4 older than me. It really Is and has been the Best thing for both of us.
Sorry to hear about the Parkinson's. That is a double downer. That aunt of my wifes I spoke about has had it for almost a decade and I’ve seen it bring her and her “husband” closer together. Inspirational actually.

And some truckers had one in every port. Or every city rather.

Also after about a fixed number of married years, should you lose a spouse who is or was part of the VA system, the VA will cut a small check for you as a survivor.

It would be very easy to fall into the Bundy Syndrome.

However as bad as I feel tonight I refuse to complain or allow a cloudy and stormy attitude.

My ex was #####y today and snappy due to what they did to her in Surgery. I just let it go and did not contest the sitaution. A patient "Yes dear" spoken softer and softer and softer the louder she got.

Speak really soft and softer But don't overdo it. Might just sink a skillet into your brain. Females are like that sometimes. A mass of conflicting impulses at times as they work out the aggravating hairballs in their nervous systems, such as they are.

Im happy that the Lord saw fit to mix Eve properly a little sweet goes a little sour a long way for Adam and is a blessing to us all.
