Often it's a leak in the charge air cooling system. A leak in the cooler itself or at one of the boots. How much boost does it make?

Is it giving a high exhaust temp code or just the pyro is high? Plugged mufflers and bad intake leaks or intercooler can cause aguard to read high.
On an engine code i usually see it from the atmoshpere pressure sensor not working.

Do you know if the cam was replaced? The C12 was a good little motor, but they are known for bad cams. The head needs to come off to replace the cam followers, so it's an expensive job. Keep up on oil changes and valve adjustments. Also keep an eye on the oil pump tubes. If you ever notice seepage, replace the o-rings. I'm not one who generally chases minor oil seepage, but in that case the oil pump can suck air and aerate the oil, which eventually can kill the cam and followers.

Hi - New here. Looking at a 2007 KW T600 with a c13 in it. The truck is being sold as part of an estate, so cant talk to the original owner. Would this likely be the dual turbo set up that did not have EGR or DPF? If so, does the dual turbo also have the VVA system? It was supposed to have been rebuilt a few years ago and documentation exists (I havent seen it yet), but not sure what they would have done. It currently has about 900k on it. I would be using it for recreational use (hauling personal race vehicles). Thanks

I have a 2007 T-600 with the C-13 and, yes, it's a twin turbo ACERT. No DPF. I have had a lot of good luck until recently, but that wasn't the engine's fault, it was mine. I love my C-13 and it pulls hills (I live in the Northwest) as well as, or better than, many of the bigger motors.
