It depends on if the DC has stopped taking applications. Usually they don't start calling until they have closed the application acceptance and have gone through the applications. Don't get impatient. While the Walmart Transportation hiring process has been streamlined tremendously, it still is not the fastest thing you will ever do. They are picky about who they hire, and try to contact the most qualified of those who apply. The hiring process is unlike any other trucking company that you will ever deal with. Take a deep breath, and be glad that it isn't like it used to be (months upon months). Good luck.
Thank u. I do believe they have stopped taking applications because the DC is not listed as hiring anymore. Application is listed as under consideration. Guess we will just wait and pray.
I am bumping this up, as we have a lot of new drivers coming on, and the wives may have questions / worries / comments. Ladies, feel free to ask anything you wish. Non Walmart folks who wish to poop on my thread, please go elsewhere. Thanks !!!
Omg...THANK U...I've had several questions, a few I've asked and gotten SMART ASSED ANSWERS... I'm kind of hesitant to ask now....
Don't worry about asking. Fire away !!! If someone pokes their rude nose in my thread, I will report them right away. Now, I hope you didn't think I came across as rude?? I tried to answer what I could.
most are happy to help, WW is a good one for info. Most current drivers are pleased to answer and get someone ready, etc. Some stuff is meant too discover once onboard, etc. Rest assured, if you have to drive a truck for a living, this is one of the best places to do it.
I'm totally cracking up over here. I just spent a week reading all the way thru 530 pages of "Wal-Mart Here I Come", only to come here and see the same "Men Folk" posting here as well. Or are the wives just hacking their account? My trucker goes on Wednesday this week to do his Pre-trip at Apple Valley. He gets in from his East Coast run Tuesday and I have been going over the do's and don't with him. He laughs at me but hey, I'm just doing my part to get him this dang job! Ladies, have a great week and tell your Trucker you love him. CJ
Well, I know for a fact that I am the wife, so no issues there. My husband had his own username. We get some of the drivers who post in here. If they contribute to the thread, it is great. My hubby gets told how much he is loved many times a day, both from myself, and from our son. Once again, good luck to him, and may your journey be a great one !!!
