I can't remember a time when they were. It's always been challenging to find good drivers IMO.

In most cases it's just recruiter's wanting to make their commissions for providing qualified driver. (Not a "Good Driver".)

I'll try this again.... 1.) Does swift have anything that is in WRITING that states the driver is LEGALLY allowed to cover the driver facing camera in the drivers cab other than the video ? YES OR NO ! If so where is it ?
2.) while swift is apparently able to legally give us this option shouldn't other companies also be able to give us this option ? what swift is doing is telling me that there is no big agency forcing them to put that driver facing cam on you. Why ? well it appears swift can give us a choice . I'm wondering if any other companies also give people a choice.
if 2 is too confusing for you then simply just answer 1 if you can. All trolls and narcissists will be ignored just as they have been in the past since i made the post . -
Yes, any company can give you the option to cover the camera if that is their company policy. It can also be their company policy to not allow the inward facing camera to be covered if that’s what they desire. It’s doubtful that any large company will ever have anything in writing regarding anything to do with their cameras. There is nothing mandating that anyone run forward facing or driver facing cameras.
Edit: you keep saying LEGALLY when in reality it’s simply company policy.Numb and MarbleDragonsNPyramids Thank this. -

2.) They can and they do. The truck I'm sitting in right now has an inward-facing camera that I covered. While the company only cares about forward recording, most cameras sold today also come with driver-facing lenses. -
Most companies allow the driver to cover the inward camera only when they are off duty. As said, only someone currrntly at swift would have that info.
