A few questions for you Octanebandit aka Mr. Hanky.. From N.C. dont know where you are from how much are they saying about your hometime.. Do they let you have your family or pets along for the ride.. People say that training is like boot camp do you have any feedback with that.. Really thinking about TMC seems like a goood company.. Im a newbiee also and would like feedback from someone who has been through this thing.. NO BS give me all you know and leave nothing out.. Thanks in advance..

Pets of any kind are NOT allowed. I believe that there is a 6 month wait after you're in your own truck before you're allowed to take immediate family with you.

    Kwbass Thanks this.

90 days in your own truck before you can take family members along. There are a couple of different orientation diaries on here, but both of them were from January when there was a different load securement instructor.

    Hey KW,

Like the good Cpl said, there's several orientation diaries on here, so don't really wanna rehash old info, first day went pretty much along the lines of those other posts. If anything new, different or exciting pops up, I'll try to let everyone know. And I'm actually from Goldsboro, and as soon as I start runnin regular, I'll letcha know how the hometime's workin out. :biggrin_25525:

Well this is the best way I know to answer, TMC is a very structured company who wants things their way or not at all, I no longer work for the company because I found a local job and am home everynight, over all a top notch company in my opinion, did everything they said they would, great equipment, friendly people, (the ones I met) and did everything they said, they run their company like the military (served 4yrs. USMC). On the down side, the tarp pay is a joke$10 they got me home every weekend except one, they will let immediate family ride, but you can forget the pets, orientation is a mind game and nothing even close to boot camp, at least not the one i went to, they really like veterans I think one reason is they adapt to their style of doing things better for they are used to liveng a structured life, the moral of the story is if you cant take instructions, don't like getting your hands dirty and just want to squeeze by look elsewhere, that's as straight up as I can put it to you, good luck!!!

    Hurrycne and Kwbass Thank this.
