I just wanted to take a second and apologize to anyone I have ran into on the road. I am currently running with my trainer. I have only 40 hours left and will be upgraded soon. He will not let my flash my lights or signal a thank you in anyway to polite drivers that signal me when I clear them.
I'm not normally rude and won't be when I get running myself.
So far this job has been great. Haven't had any problems from veteran drivers, most I talk to and tell them I'm a rookie, they laugh and say they still make the same mistakes time to time.
Thanks for all the help guys, see you on the road.

Good luck. I'll say what I've been saying for a long time now. Once you get away from your trainer and get on your own truck, that's where the real learning starts. There's nothing like being out there by yourself and having to figure stuff out alone.
Just remember, if you can, it's better to pull over and stop, get out and check the situation out before committing to it - if at all possible. Know your exit strategy and know where you're going to make your turns, etc. beforehand. It's not always possible to do all that, but if you can, espcecially when you're new, I'd suggest slowing down, taking an extra few minutes to size things up and then proceed.
Good Luck out there! -
