I'm looking for a device that when I pop the red valve OUT in the dash, that my trailer air suspension exhausts soon after.
It seems that it doesnt really exhaust, (except over time) even if I pull the red glad hand...

I know they make trailers that do this, so I presume swapping out a valve is all thats needed, in theory??

just add a quick release valve to supply brake line so when you pull your brake button it will dump air bags. oh and one line to the air bags supply line on the dump side of quick release.

Cheapest way is put a manual valve inline. Even cheaper is make your own 3 port valve with two 1/4 turn valves and a Tee fitting. Probably less than $15 at Lowe's.

The factory auto dumps use a pilot valve to signal the large dump valve.

Thanks guys. I have a dump valve wired in on the one axle (for parking/turning reasons) but while it works, it is slow too and only one the ONE axle.

ideally something that blows the suspension down the moment I pull the red knob on the dash-

You can add a pilot valve between the height valve & the bags. Plumb the valve normally closed & connect the signal line to the trailer supply line. Valve opens when the trailer supply line is charged.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

personal, i would just run dual dump vavles(elctric). 2 different toggle switches on the dash. one front one rear. add a second pig tail( just make it using a car trailer kit x2 cheaper) this way you can dump out your axle for turning(helps save tires and makes turning and backing of that spread easier) than when you need to drop the bags just flip both and dump out both bags. you would be amazed where you can get a trailer working between the front and back axles. plus when i ran flat i did alot of coils so i could dump the bags and stop that bag hop up when they rip that coil off the deck. pm me if you want i can tell you what all you would need and have to do to add this setup

This isnt a bad idea. I ran a separate 7wire pigtail to the trailer already. All of the 7 wires come up into the dash but I only have one attached within the trailer for the current dump valve. My need though is more for an automatic dump when the emergency line empties.

My buddy's Benson has this, so I know they do make a valve...just not sure what I need to do for my current setup (minimally) to accomplish this.

I might put a call into the Fontaine dealer in the AM and ask....I'm sure they'd know right off..

Look up Haldex part # 90554990 pilot valve. You can get it in different port sizes, with & without push lock fittings. Very basic & will do just what you want. I installed one on our trailer & it works great.

This is exactly what the Fontaine dealer suggested. $14 and install it next to the height valve.
I only have 1 height valve for all (4) air bags and he said it works perfectly...

Well isnt this interesting.....today, my rear axle dump valve (electric operated) has seized and shorted.
So now I need to replace that too. The current one was a Peter Paul. Never heard of them until today.

I did find out that Hendrickson makes a trailer leveler valve with auto-dump when trailer air is released.
That should solve my issue easily.
