IF MY LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED IN 1998, REINSTATED IN 2007. OFF MY 3 YEAR RECORD AS OF TODAY, SHOULD I STILL MENTION IT TO A RECRUITER AS IF IT IS STILL ON THERE. RIGHT NOW THE ONLY THING ON THERE IS A FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE TICKET. WHEN THE APP ASK "HAS YOUR LICENSE EVER BEEN SUSPENDED?", DO I STILL SAY YES AND EXPLAIN? ALSO HAVE A TICKET FOR SPEEDING 10MPH OVER SPEED LIMIT.(ALSO NOT ON DRIVING RECORD). DONT WANT TO BE DISHONEST BUT I DONT WANT TO BE REJECTED BECAUSE I DIDNT GIVE THIS INFORMATION. ANY INFO WILL BE HELPFULL. SORRY IF THIS IS A REPEAT QUESTION.:biggrin_25519:

YES!!!! Absolutely be truthful. Something that recent will be found. Once you get caught lying, it will go on your DAC and make employment by any kind of decent company impossible.

If your license was reinstated in 2007, it would still be on your 3 year MVR due to the fact that even if it was reinstated 1/1/07 it would add up to just over 2 1/2 years ago. Wait till 3 years to the day then try that company or tell the truth and take your chances. They will pull your MVR no matter what and if you don't disclose your suspension you will be disqualified. Most companys pull a 5 year MVR and the question on the app is EVER been suspended so use your best judgement.

WELL WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER A DECENT COMPANY THAT MAY NOT CARE TOO MUCH ABOUT IT. I GOT A CALL FROM STEVENS TRANSPORTATION TODAY AND THEIR SAFETY DEPT. DENIED ME BECAUSE OF IT. I DONT WANT TO GO TO A BAD COMPANY WHO WILL HIRE ME REGARDLESS JUST TO GET ME INTO A SEAT. GRANTED I DO WANT TO DRIVE AND YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE, BUT I DONT WANT TO TAKE A POUNDING IN THE CHILLY RING EITHER. ALL I'VE EVER WANTED TO DO IS DRIVE AND ITS HARD TO BELEIVE THAT SOMEONE W/ NO FELONIES, DUI''S, DWI'S, ACCIDENTS, ETC COULD BE TURNED DOWN BECAUSE OF SOMETHING IN YOU PAST THAT REALLY, IN MY OPINION, ISNT THAT BAD. YEAH IT DID TAKE ME ALMOST TEN YEARS TO GET THOSE TICKETS PAID OFF AND GET MY LICENSE BACK. BUT IT SEEM ALMOST LIKE YOU HAVE TO BE A CHOIR BOY(NO OFFENSE INTENDED) TO GET ANYONE TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE. MAYBE IM JUST FUSRTATED AND JUST RANTING ON. I MAY HAVE TO GO TO ONE OF THESE WORSER COMPANIES AS A STARTER COMPANY AND HANG IN THERE TO GET THE EXPERIENCE THAT I NEED TO GET SOMEWHERE THAT WILL ACCEPT MY HARD WORK AND DEDICATION. :biggrin_2551:

Be persistent if this is what you want. Two years ago, that suspension wouldn't have been anything. It is a different market now; employers can be really picky about who they hire. Knock on enough doors and you will get what you are looking for.

Thanx! I plan on doing just that first thing in the morning. I've got my list of companies and their pohne #'s and i plan on hitting then hard. Ill try my best to leave the "horrible 5" alone. But if all else fail then maybe ill try one of them.

It depends what your license was suspended for. Suspension for 9 yrs was for something major obviously. I'd say your chances are slim to none if you get an offer you better take it if driving is what you want. Just don't repeat whatever you did to get them suspended to start with.

I haven't seen as many USA trucks rolled over as I use to see... So either they are hiring better driver's or their drivers are starting to gain experience.

Don't worry about how bad a company is right now... If I was in that situation... I'd even call Swift! We call them bad companies... But if they aren't all that bad when it comes to starting out in the industry. Get your foot in the door... keep your mvr & dac clean... gain experience... then move onto a far better company.

YEAH. I REALLY DONT THINK ABOUT HOW BAD A COMPANY'S REP IS I JUST WANT A CHANCE TO PROVE MYSELF. AS FAR AS WHAT AND WHY IT WAS SUSPENDED FOR. I DIDNT PAY A NO INSURANCE TICKET PLUS SOME OTHER TICKETS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, SUCH AS A FAILURE TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT TICKET. I WAS YOUNG AND DIDNT REALIZE HOW MUCH IT WAS A PREVILEGE TO HAVE MY LICENSE. INSTEAD I THOUGHT IT WAS MY RIGHT. LEARNED THE HARD WAY. I'VE NEVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT THAT WAS MY FAULT. NEVER BEEN TO PRISON. NOTHING THAT DISQUALIFIES ME BUT THE SUSPENSION. I JUMPED FROM JOB TO JOB LOOKING FOR THE BIGGER BETTER PAY AND JOB, INSTEAD TRYING TO BE STABLE AND HAVING JOB SECURITY. CLINTON WAS IN OFFICE SO FINDING A JOB WAS SO EASY. GREAT YEARS. IN 3 WORDS...YOUNG AND DUMB. BY THE WAY, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR VERY VALUABLE ADVICE. THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU!:biggrin_25519:
