For those of you that are not aware...fmcsa stepped and made omnitracs (qualcomm) change the way it works. Qc throws on you on drive the second those wheels start turning.

Before you could move the truck 1 or 2 miles without going on line 3 driving. But fmcsa came in and said "thats not going to happen."

Move the truck just one inch and you will be thrown on line 3 driving. This applies to every company now. These are very recent changes...heard this from the log department at my company

Read my reply earlier. You wont have issues. The companies will have to put a secure cover to stop from accesing wires. Then when that happens, you just logoff. Logging everything will eventually backfire on the company. If I logged on duty for everything I do then you eat up your 70 real quick. People on paper who log legit dont log driving to park. Why should eloogers do it?

Yes. We still have 15 mph till it switches.

I would love to hear what companies are telling thier drivers FMCSA told them they had to change the ELD settings. There is no guidance in the green book on this first of all. Also you are allowed to combine any movements in the same city as on duty not driving on paper. Any movement in a yard to back into a dock is on duty work which also happens to be work that can be done outside of the 14 hour window where driving time can't be done.
