    Not trying to be a smarty here. There seems to be quite a bit of Swift drivers on here. You may want to use the search function. That will give you hours and hours of reading!

    Please answer my question first. With 7 years experience why aren't you looking into higher paying LTL carriers? Generally speaking the lowest paid LTL company will be a better check than the highest paying T/L company.

    Kinda like, McD.'s or B.King, which burger is better ? right ? Which ever one you succeed at is the better one. But, unless you have a crystal ball, you won't know until you do it. I would choose the one with a yard/terminal near your house. The one with the better safety record will help also. Freight lanes play into it as well. Both are large operations. :director::laughing-guffaw:

    well for one if i wanted a smart ### answer i would have asked my old lady for one i have been driving for the same small maw and paw company but they are closing down and looking for something that keeps you moving and i see all kinds of their trucks on the road so no need for me to answer no ones questions :biggrin_25524:

    You posted on here and didn't expect smart ##### answers. Hmmmm. Um well, yeah. This is not even the place I'd start my search. Call their recruiting see what each of them can offer you first. Ask question after question after question. Get fully educated and then scour the blogs and forums all day to see if you can get any insight into questions that could not be answered. Keep in mind most of the events portrayed on here are not factual, they're interpretations of somebody's experience.

    Seems like you'd need to find someone who'd driven for both to get a meaningful comparison. And even then . . . mileage varies, grain of salt, etc. There's lots of posts at TTR about both carriers.

    Seeing "all kinds of their trucks on the road" should not be a criteria for working someplace. Please take Meltom's advice and start calling/ digging deeper. Forget about the LTL thing I suggested. It probably wouldn't work out for ya.
