Looks like I have 3 choices from Kirkwood, NY to Columbus - I-70, I-80 or I-86. All are about the same miles, but wondering which would be quickest for the truck, considering terrain. Tolls could be a factor as well. Loading at 1pm.
Thoughts?
Quickest / best route from Kirkwood, NY to Columbus, OH?

I personally would go I-70.
-
I'd say just run 86 all the way to 90, then 271 to 71.
-
Isn't 81-80-76-71 toll free and no major cities?
-
I86/17 across NY is the shortest, but to get to I71 you would run I90 thru Cleveland so time of day could make a huge difference. 81 to 80 to 71 is less than 20 miles longer. (But then you might also have WilkesBarre/Scranton traffic on 81) I would not run all the way down to the PA pike to get to 70, but yes the miles are also just about the same, but I pay my own tolls.

Hwy17/I-86 to I-90 to I-271 to I-71 is the fastest and the shortest to get here to Columbus. Be safe out there ws.

Oh, and if I remember correctly u pull a dryvan. When u get down here, u might wanna avoid anything going into MI. Rates not good enough up and out and been bad up there load-wise. Better to IL and even had good rates into MD this month (SHOCKER).
windsmith Thanks this.
