I see no contradiction. The first post was one where i was stating shippers do sometimes set rules for loading. If they say things like clean and dry trailer or no full tanks there is nothing you as a driver can do except just leave the shippers property.
The 2nd post was stating to never let a shipper bully you into doing something that could cause you trouble later on like putting something in that last 6 feet of a 53 footer with a heavy load. These kinds of things as I think you would agree comes from experience.

    Big Don Thanks this.

Nogales. Two docks to ship. I bet I hauled out of there at some point.

I will spend the rest of my life making sure I never get near that cursed city ever again.

The old 45's and 48's were the standard for loading including reefer. When the 53's came out there used to be a 48 foot mark inside where you loaded to that point and then shut the doors with the aft 5 or 6 feet empty.

Shippers who do not listen when I tell them to load a certain way after figuring weights of each pallet and pattern, are those who are going to be trouble. I sometimes stood in the back against the towmotor saying the word, Out. We are finished here loading. Beat it. Go away, find boss to sign this thing. They come back and say who the eff are you to talk driver? Who do you think? I know what I can and cannot put in this #### box legally by weight. And it spirals from there into yelling and chest bumping. Stupid.

Problem is no sliding fifth wheel.
I'd transfer weight to steers and roll
    Still sucks though.
