I know that @TB John and @Lonesome were involved in hiring at a joint venture...
Of course, I'm still worked up over that tow, so maybe I won't post this.

Need to? Maybe not. Should you? Probably.
Even if it’s a situation where you’re worried about the job ad that says maximum 3 jobs in last 5 years, I don’t think they’ll disqualify you because one of the four was a one day gig that you didn’t feel safe atBean Jr., Another Canadian driver and Grumppy Thank this. -
Yes, you must list them, even if you only showed up, took a look around, and walked out. If it is a reputable company and you were owed anything, they will mail a check to the address listed on the application. If they use DAC, you can be sure your information will be in there as "quit/dismissed during orientation."

I’m not sure if you have to or not
I would think you can leave out anything you want but it may come up down the road
I’m and O/Op and switched companies awhile back and they had me get some app. I think driver pulse?
But every company that even looked at me was on there
I have never applied for or even worked for Prime and somehow it showed they looked at me or had contacted me. Not sure what but it didn’t show I worked there but had their name as calling me
Same with Ascent?? Never even heard of that

Anyway, you inquire about a position at company A. You enter the intelliapp information, but suddenly companies X, Y, and Z are calling/emailing/texting non-stop? Yeah, they paid to find out who is applying for jobs in that area with those qualification and are trying to snipe the person before company A hires them. Instead of being an "ALERT" on the system, it comes in as an "APPLICATION" with the short-app information filled out, as if you were interested in working for them.
Its probably one of the more shady practices in the industry, but anybody applying for a decent position should already know who those players are and be avoiding them anyway.Newtrucker2019, LilRedRidingHood, Grumppy and 2 others Thank this. -
I have had a few jobs I left in a day, sometimes a couple weeks. I never put them on my application(s) if I didn't want to, and never caught any backlash from it. I wouldn't recommend doing that, not listing an employer that you know uses and reports to DAC. If you are unsure, order your DAC report and then decide.

To the OP, no matter what, you worked a day, that means you have to list it on the application - NOT the resume.
This is just a formality, most of the time one day really doesn't matter but it is the FMCSA rules.Bean Jr., Newtrucker2019, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
Let it be known that my new company, The Beer Guzzling Death Dealin' Gear Jammin' Patriotic Flatbedder From Hell does not use DAC, Hireright, or ANY employment or credit reporting company! On the other hand I'm not hiring , so there's that.........

A resume is a marketing tool you employ to sell your services. So—on a resume you would highlight your best skills and relevant experience to that specific position.
This is why you can leave short engagements off a resume.
An application is a legal document. This is why you never omit anything on an application.
Also, omissions on your resume needs to have a GOOD explanation. As in—your work as a bookkeeper is not relevant when seeking a driving job.
You would still list the bookkeeping job on your application, even if you quit at lunch the first day.
Hope this helps.Bean Jr., Newtrucker2019, DRTDEVL and 1 other person Thank this. -
In my opinion, an application is not a legal document. Its an administrative document & yes you can be terminated for providing false information, but its not criminal or illegal etc.
It is required by FMCSA but its not considered a "legal" document..... IMHO. If I am wrong, I welcome corrections.Bean Jr., Newtrucker2019, LilRedRidingHood and 1 other person Thank this.
